Biography

Shadiat Olapeju SHUAIB is an Associate Professor of Theatre Studies and Theatre Design, Aesthetics, and Technology at the Department of the Performing Arts, University of Ilorin, Nigeria. She holds a doctorate in Performing Arts, from the University of Ilorin and a Postgraduate Diploma in Education from Usman Danfodio University, Sokoto, Nigeria. Areas of interest include theatre costume and make-up design theory/practice, fashion history and trends, textile/fabric technology, cosmetics interaction and application, gender studies, and technical education. She is a member of the Society of Nigerian Theatre Artists (SONTA), Creative Designers Guild (CDG), Association of Nigerian Theatre Practitioners (NANTAP), Society of Movie Scholars (SOMS), Association of African Women Scholars (AAWS), Society for Conservative and phytofuels and Sciences (SCPS), Gender and African Studies Research Society (GASRS), Society for Peace Studies and Practice (SPSP) and Lions Clubs International amongst others. She has published widely in reputable outlets both locally and internationally.
