Taiye Shola ADEOLA holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Performing Arts with specialization in music from the University of Ilorin, Nigeria; Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees in Music, and Masters of Religious studies from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife Nigeria; He studied theology at the Nigerian Baptist Theological Seminary Ogbomoso, Nigeria where he obtained his Masters of Divinity (Theology), and Certificate in Ecumenism from the Institute for Ecumenical Studies Bossey, Switzerland. He is presently a Senior lecturer at the Department of the Performing Arts of the University of Ilorin, Nigeria where he teaches music. He is a music sociologist, composer, conductor, and music director with many works to his credit.
