Biography

AbdulRasheed Abiodun ADEOYE (formerly Rasheed Abiodun Musa) is a Professor of Performing Arts at the Department of Performing Arts, Faculty of Arts, University of Ilorin, Nigeria. He won the Senate award for the best-graduating student and holds two Master’s degrees and a Ph.D. in Theatre Arts (2007) from the University of Ilorin and Ibadan respectively. He was a two-term Head of the Department and the Dean of the Faculty of Arts (2019 – 2021). He served as the Chairman of the Ceremonials Committee and presently, he is the Chairman of the Library and Publications Committee and a member of the Governing Council of the University of Ilorin. His research interest is in Theatre Directing, Playwriting, Performance and Cultural Studies. He propounded the Neo-alienation Style and Theatre and has successfully supervised 5 Ph.D. He was appointed a full Professor in 2015 and he has taught full-time for 25 years.
